The unexpected adventure of doing absolutely nothing is a challenging realty in todays world.
Can we turn off our devices for a period of time, walk, do a yoga class or swim in the ocean. We are all looking for a way to unplug from the relentless task of social media, text messages, constant emails and being available 24/7 to everyone we know.
In this madly accelerating world our lives have become chaotic, noisy and demanding. We are becoming sick from stress and the feeling we need to compete with everyone else's lives or be better than our neighbour.
Some of us are looking to slow ourselves down and tune out for periods of time, allowing some space to enjoy ourselves and connect with our senses. The ability to unplug ourselves is becoming more of an exciting prospect for some people in this modern world. Becoming involved with Yoga, meditation and giving yourself permission to be at peace for periods of time is becoming of more interest to people racing to keep up with modern practices.
This prospect of stopping is becoming is a greater necessity than ever before to reduce our stress and give our bodies permission to breathe deeply and rest.
Take a walk alone in nature with no phone
Allow 2 hours per day to turn off from social media, emails and texts
Take a 15 minute mini break from time to time in a quiet place
Go to a garden centre for 1 hour
Allow your body and mind rest and recuperate on a daily basis. Couple this with healthy food and nourishment., no refined processed food or excessive sugar and live a healthy life with intention.
